The Krays [1990 feature film]

During scenes of the London Blitz, "Aldwych" Piccadilly Line station stands in for "Bethnal Green." Part of the Central Line's Western Extension, under construction at the start of the War, the tube platforms at "Bethnal Green" did not see traffic use until December 1946. It was also the site of the greatest wartime civilian loss of life on the Underground network, when 173 people were crushed to death while attempting to enter the shelter in 1943. See The Underground at War for furthur details.
