Prick Up Your Ears [1987 feature film]After attending the first night of his latest play, writer Joe Orton (Gary Oldman) dumps his partner, Keith Halliwell (Alfred Molina), for bit of rough trade he meets in the lift at Aldwych station. The film was shot some seven years before the closure of the station, and the visibly poor state of the fabric in the passageway leading to the platform is self-evident, especially in contrast to the tiling in the more secluded emergency stairway (Image 6).
